Did you delete the WhatsApp folder on your phone? If not, check the local backup with the file manager, especially for the media files (local storage/WhatsApp/Media). Disconnect WhatsApp backup from Google Drive, and then restore from local backup after reinstalling WhatsApp.

I am not sure the solution as below will Work for you. Just for your reference.

  1. Download and copy the old backup you found on Google Drive to your Whatsapp folder in internal storage.
  2. Try to restore from the local backup file then.

Good luck to you.

Download size < 0.15 MB. But also accurate enough, ad-free & free.

1.Make sure your device is up-to-date.
2.Make sure the WhatsAPP is up-to-date.
3.Try Restarting the App to see if it helps.
4.Try clearing your App cache.
5.Re-start your phone.

As mentioned in WhatsApp website,

Every time you create a Google Drive backup using the same Google account, the previous backup will be overwritten. There's no way to restore an older Google Drive backup.
