Seller says that this phone has been reset, but not what kind of reset. The Nexus 5 is not linked to any Google account. Phone was Android 4, but has been upgraded to Android 6.

Do you think I should still do a Wipe Cache Partition AND a wipe data/factory reset (hard reset)? Thought I should do this for security / privacy issues, but I imagine the phone would revert back to Android 4, with maybe no way to reinstall Android 6.

Or, since I see no account activity and no files, do you think the phone is OK to use as is with just a Wipe Cache Partition? Thanks for your help.

If it was me, I would do a factory reset.

I don't think your phone will revert back to a previous version of Android. I did it once and I don't remembering it being and issee. But if it did you should be able to easily update to the latest version of Android supported by your phone.

I think you should do a 'Wipe Cache Partition AND a wipe data/factory reset' for purpose of privacy and security issue.

And you are able to update your android to the latest version by 'Settings - System update - Check for updates'.

Download size < 0.15 MB. But also accurate enough, ad-free & free.
