Pics uploads to Google Photos

I found pics (Samsung J5) I took automatically uploaded to Google Photos (email being gmail.com). I had to change email address and used another gmail account. However I can't see where I set the email address to talk to Photos.

I thought it would be in Settings->Accounts There's a list of things like Sync App data... all of which are enabled.

Ar the moment I have to use cable to upload to Photos whereas before it was done for me.

Looking again last night - i think I have got it wrong and the phone does not automatically upload to Photos. If one selects an album and then does Share Link they all are copied to Photos. I think that is what I did in the past. Be grateful if someone could confirm that.

Hi James,

all the settings of the backup are done in the photos app itself. Simply open the app, open the side menu and click on settings. You will find the option "Back up & Sync". Here you can choose when to upload the pics and which account to use for it.
