Messenger won't load New Message Requests

Have notifications in Messenger on Facebook but when I click on the notification slot, nothing happens.

Any ideas?

Do you still have the problem at present? If you do, then you could try the following ways to fix it.
1. Check the update of the Facebook Messenger.
2. Re-open the app or reboot your device to remove some bugs.
3. Check network connection.
4. Use third-party ios system repair tools like TunesKit iOS System Recovery to fix without data loss and with an almost 100% success rate.
Step 1: Download the software and connect your device to PC.
Step 2: Select Standard Mode to fix the issue without data loss.
Step 3: Fix the problem.

Checking the settings for Facebook notifications and Do Not Disturb would be more effective methods. And using TunesKit iOS System Recovery is not good advice. It's a useless program. If you need to fix iOS or software glitches, I recommend using RecoveryTool Fix Recovery.
