My old phone would allow me to adjust the volume for things as they were happening (moto x, and moto e4). With my new galaxy s9 the volume button cancels whatevers happening. This is really annoying with the bixby alarm which tells me the weather and news VERY LOUDLY, so I try to turn it down but it just cancels it. If i'm getting an incoming call and want to adjust the volume a but (for now, and for future rings) the ring cancels so i have no idea if its at the volume i want. How can I make the volume key not cancel whatevers happening?
