I have an Acer Chromebook (R14?) with Google Play Store. The unit has many apps that I used before Play Store became available. Should I delete these Chrome Web Store Apps before installing the Google Play Store versions? Is there any reason to keep the old apps?

As we know that the Chrome Apps option has been removed from the Chrome Web Store. Now, only Extensions and Themes remain.
But I don't think you need to delete those Chrome Web Store apps if they still work well.
Only for those Chrome apps to which you have a better alternative app from Play Store, you may delete them for ever.

Download size < 0.15 MB. But also accurate enough, ad-free & free.

Well, many of the apps overlap. For example, there is a Hootsuite app that hasn't been updated in more than a year. The Google Play Store version is current. I don't know if the icons are different for the two types, or if the old app would load if I chose the existing icon.

So it looks like it's OK to simply delete all the original Web Store app versions before installing the Google Play Store versions.
