Why whatsapp is increasing file size of my sent video?

I have an mp4 video file of 17.70mb. When I shared it to my friends it automatically became 23.60mb. Now this is really odd! I know a trick in which an original file can be sent by changing extension or send it as document but I don't want it. I wanna send my video in its original size that is 17.70mb. Please Help.

Really? So odd.
Compare the original mp4 file with the received one with the Windows command: fc /B your.mp4 sent.mp4.

Download size < 0.15 MB. But also accurate enough, ad-free & free.
