Hello everybody :)

I'm still using my Samsung Galaxy S5 but it's gotten too slow.
So I want a new phone. Not sure whether Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 or Redmi Note 5 Pro.

I did a comparison:
Chipset
S5: Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 80, Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400,Adreno 330
Redmi Note 4: Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625, Octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53, Adreno 506
Redmi Note 5 Pro : Qualcomm SDM636 Snapdragon 636, Octa-core 1.8 GHz Kryo 260, Adreno 509

Why would anyone buy the Redmi Note 5 Pro with a slower CPU clock speed? Does the Kryo 260 have some other features which make it faster in the end? I couldn't find many details googeling for both of the CPUs.

Your advice is appreciated.
Have a nice day :)

The S5 is still a great phone. Have you changed your battery lately that may be your problem. I am still using the Note 4 which basically has the same internals as the S5.

Yes, I still love my S5. Almost unbreakable, great fit for my hands size, still has hardware home button etc.

I bought a new battery in 2017. The old one was produced in 8/2014 I think and the new one was from 9/2015. Both seem to be almost dead. (Last only 5 h ) I don't think there is a chance to buy a non-faked fresh one. Or do you know any source?

I would try Amazon if you could find look for a good aftermarket brand like Zero Lemon I have several for my Note 4 they work well. Sometimes you can get them bundled with and external charger too. You can also just check see what you have running in the background using up you battery. Facebook app absolutely kills battery life.
