Duplicate Notifications

Hi, I hope someone can help please.

I'm receiving duplicate notifications from WhatsApp on my Samsung Galaxy S9.

It started a couple of weeks ago. I was getting 2 notifications for every message, then 3, now I get 6.

It only seems to happen on the first message. So, for example, if a group chat gets a message, I see 6 notifications. Every message after that only adds 1 notification. So for 3 messages, I see 8 notifications.

Anyone know why this is happening and how I fix it?

Whatsapp has had nothing but problems since it's release!
It should be sent back to the developers as a failed experiment!
Your multiple notifications is a perfect example.
You might consider group emails or group text instead!
