Whatsapp has been having one problem after another every since Facebook purchased it!
Best suggestion is ;
Call Facebook customer service and complain untill they listen!
Or just uninstall whatsapp!
It is my opinion that Facebook is deliberately making whatsapp malfunction so people will go back to using Facebook!
What better way to eliminate it's competitors- buy them out them make their product malfunction to the point that users get fed up and go back to using Facebook!
That business tactic is as old as business itself!

Your device is infected by Facebook, since WhatsApp and Instagram are owned by Facebook.

It seems that your device has been infected by some virus. Try a factory reset + clear cache partition after a backup of your data.

Download size < 0.15 MB. But also accurate enough, ad-free & free.
The minimalist app available on Play Store: https://goo.gl/ws42fN

If your device is infected by a virus (and I don't think it is). There are many good anti-virus apps in play store, I recommend Avast, or Lookout.
Both are free and will detect and remove any virus or malware you might have.
But doing a factory reset will cause a lot more work than the problem you are having!
And again I think the problem is Facebook
Not your phone and Not a virus!
