Sceen darkens seconds after call begins

Good day!
My Moto e Supra goes dark quickly when I finish dialing.
Here is the kicker: when your on a call that ask, "press one for..." Etc.. I can shake phone- see the opens for a nano sec, then poof the sceen darkens

New to this phone. Is there an option for keeping phone screen lit?

Check your screen settings.
You can set your screen to go dark ( to sleep) after certain amounts of times.
Adjust that setting to your liking.
