Issue with create multiple screen support app !!

Hi there
I read many tutorial and article in many websites about dpi and px and... but still i have problem about it
I want to create multiple screen support app . I created 3 different dpi layout for test (mdpi , hdpi , xxhdpi ) . I drag and drop a view into mdpi 5 inch screen and set it width's to 100dp and it fills 1/4 of the screen . I did it on the mdpi 10 inch screen but it was different it fills for example 1/8 of the screen . so what should i do ? i must create layout for every screen size ? i read in google that we should create 6 dpi for all app (ldpi to xxxhdpi ) but it doesn't working . Is it better way to set 100px instead of 100dp ??
