Problems connecting to random websites.

This is a brand new problem, and the website with tell me it has no connection. I have tried running malwarebytes, removing a ton of my apps, made sure java was on, and even tried now browsers. The only thing that works was using a tor browser, but even then it wouldnt play videos without an error. Im pretty close to factory resetting my phone. Keep in mind its rooted. I also think i had a virus issue that I cleared up with a few programs but im still having this issue. There are no parental controls on my device or router. What could it be at this point?
