Live Transcribe icon

I've been trialling Live Transcribe to help some profoundly deaf friends to share in conversations.

Today I find that the app has placed a large icon on the screen. It is on everything from the home screen to any other app I'm using, remaining on top and really being in the way on a small screen. I can't find any way of getting rid of it. It doesn't respond to the usual tap and hold to swipe it off the screen and there is nothing in the app settings that lets you remove it. It's a nuisance and I can see me uninstalling the app if it persists. I've sent feedback to the developers but wonder if anyone here has an idea of how I might remove the offending item. There is already a launch button at the bottom of the screen which is perfectly adequate.
