Deleted whatsapp photo from gallery

I had a samsung galaxy s2 in 2012. A photo received on whatsapp was deleted by me back then from the phone gallery. I want to know if the photos deleted from gallery were stored in the phone storage back then after deletion. I have the phone with me till now but is it possible to recover the photo received on whatsapp after deletion of the same from gallery back then.

I strongly doubt it but check,if you can go back so far,the whatsapp thread it belonged to

There is no way to recover that, Unless:

  1. Your device has Recycle BIN.
  2. You have Backup of you Chat including Media on Google Drive.

PS: You may ask sender to send it once again.
