Lollipop usage is still way behind Jelly Bean and KitKat
Google's latest figures have revealed that Android Lollipop is now running on 12.4 percent of Android devices, hitting double digits for the first time since its release. Lollipop's growth is partly due to a successful rollout to Samsung's Galaxy A line and updates to the Moto X (2014) and Moto E (2015) in the US.

The statistics were posted on the Google Developers dashboard page, which houses global statistics for all Android platform versions. Android 5.0 can now be found on 11.6 percent of Android devices, while Android 5.1 is on 0.8, up just 0.1 percent on the previous month.
Meanwhile, KitKat is still leading the pack with 39.2 percent, while Jelly Bean follows closely behind with a combined 37.5 percent. Froyo remains unchanged from the previous month on 0.3 percent.
With the LG G4 hitting the US this week, and the Sony Xperia Z3+ taking pre-orders in Europe, you can expect to see some further growth in July's chart. Check out the chart below to see the current distribution of Android operating systems.

Do you think Lollipop is taking too long to roll out? Let us know in the comments below.
I got my download about 6 weeks ago, and flawless except for a bit of battery drain more frequently. Could or couldn't be LP doing it. Love it otherwise. Use on a Note 3
What country are you in Lise? I use a Note 3,
Have Lollipop on my S4..Cyanogenmod 12.1,Android 5.1.1,runs sweet..!!!
when is Galaxy A3 Lollipop coming to South Africa? Anyone with the latest news on this?
Not surprised- Lollipop generally has been junk- full of bugs for most people.
The 4.3 Samsung S3 debacle should have been dealt with in a court of law, in my opinion.
KK 4.4.4 has been the best so far. My Note 4 has KK 4.4.4, and will stay on it until L, M, N or what ever, is stable and working correctly.
My Nexus 7 has been running 5.1.1 with over 500 hours since a reboot. My Nexus 5 only 117 hours, because it OTA upgraded from 5.1 to 5.1.1 last week. Especially on the Nexus 7 it was buggy at first. But since 5.1 it has been rock solid for me. Oh, and my wife likes it on her LG G2 as well.
As a Nexus 5 user I have to agree with Ron. I've had no issues with any 5.x release, even the L preview. The majority of users with problems will mainly be Samsung users, as always, because of the difficulty of integrating a pure Android release with Samsung's own version.
If we think that Sony only updated flagships and other companies will do so lollipop won't be in many devices
Far too long. Like when was Lollipop officially unveiled. Wasn't it Christmas like?
Mid-November actually. It's funny though: previously there was just Nexus and GPS devices getting stock quickly. Now there are even more Nexus devices, basically all of Motorola's recent portfolio and all the Android One devices. But it's still only at 10% six months down the track.
rumour say note 2 wont get. WHY??
Well, Samsung Spain and Samsung Poland have both said the Note 2 will get Lollipop, but Samsung Gulf had said it won't. So who knows?
