Google Play - Error DF-BPA-09 'Error Processing Purchase'

Problem

Google Play Error Processing Purchase DF-BPA-09 happens quite often when trying to download an app. This problem won’t go away if you simply try downloading again, so you’ll need to go into the settings.

Solution

The problem is not due to individual users but comes from Google Play itself, so we’re hoping it will be fixed in the near future. In the meantime, here is what you can do:

  1. Go into the Settings app on your device.
  2. Tap on Apps or Apps & notifications (the name varies depending on your device).
  3. Select the All or See all apps option.
  4. Scroll down until you see Google Services Framework.
  5. Tap Storage & cache.
  6. Finally, choose Clear storage and then OK.

If this doesn't work, go on to the Google Play site on your PC and install the app that is giving you issues on your smartphone or tablet from there. When you go back to your device, the installation should work.

Google Play – Error DF-BPA-30

Problem

The cause of this error comes from Google servers themselves. First, we should tell you that waiting is a good idea, but other solutions work for some users.

Solution

  1. Open the Google Play Store on the web (use a PC, for example).
  2. Then choose an application to install on your Android, which should logically send you the infamous error [DF-BPA-30].
  3. Get back on your smartphone and try the download, which should now be operational again.

Otherwise, you can try to delete the data or clear the cache of Google Play Services.

Google Play – Error DF-DLA-15

Problem

Downloading an update or an application may fail with this error.

Solution

The first thing to do is to clear the cache and data of the Play Store app. To do this:

  1. Open the Settings app on your phone.
  2. Tap on Apps or Apps & notifications.
  3. Select the All or See all apps option.
  4. Scroll down until you see Google Play Store.
  5. Tap Storage & cache.
  6. Finally, choose Clear storage and then OK.
  7. Repeat the steps with the Clear data option.

This should fix the problem, but if it persists, you have to go to your account settings and delete your phone's Google account. Once you've done that you just need to re-add it.

Google Play – Error retrieving information from server

Problem

This error message often appears when updating or downloading an app. Google's servers are unable to retrieve information from your Google account. You can delete and re-register, but wait a few hours to see if the problem persists first. Sometimes it'll just take care of itself.

Solution

  • Go to the Settings > Account> [your account] > Remove account.
  • Once this is done, you must reboot your device, then re-synchronize the account, adding it back to the phone.
  • Finally, open Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Store > Storage & cache. Inside, you must click on the options Clear Data and Force Stop.

Google Play – Error BM-GVHD-06

Problem

This error appears when you want to use a Google Play card. The problem seems to exist in several countries.

Solution

First, try restarting your device and try using the card again. If the problem persists, go to Settings > Applications > AllGoogle Play Store > Force Stop > Uninstall updates. The Play Store will then return to its original version and the problem should be gone.

Google Play - Error rpc:aec:0]

Problem

You can't download an app.

Solution

Remove your Google account. Remove all synced accounts. Go to Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store > Storage & cache and select Clear dataRestart your device and try again.

Google Play - Error RPC:S-3

Problem

Can't download an app.

Solution

Remove Google account and re-add it, or try an alternate account.

Google Play – Error authentication required

Problem

Strangely, this problem is quite common on Android devices. But rest assured, we have three possible solutions to deal with it. One of these tips should hopefully resolve your problem.

Solutions

  • Enter the Accounts options in the Settings app of your phone. Then remove your Google account and add it again. If everything works fine after, then it was a simple error that's sometimes displayed after an update.
  • Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store > Storage & cache and select Clear data and then Clear storageRestart your device and try again.
  • Maybe the problem is not really in your authentication, but the Play Store itself. In this case, you only have to go to application settings (Settings > Applications), search for the Google Play Store and click Uninstall updates. You might need to disable the Play Store to get this started. That way you get the initial Play Store version that you had when you first purchased the phone. After that, you just have to update it and then re-register your account.

Google Play - Package File Invalid

Problem

Play Store error.

First solution

Go to Settings > Apps > All and select the app that's causing the problem, then select Storage & cacheClear cache and Clear storageTry again with the Google Play Store.

Second solution

Install the app through Google Play Store website.

Third solution

Disable Wi-Fi and download or update the app using mobile network data.

Fourth solution

Go to Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store > Storage & cache and select Clear data and then Clear storageDo the same for Google Services Framework.

Fifth solution

Remove your Google account, restart your device, re-add your Google account and try again.

Google Play – Error 8

Problem

This error occurs when you want to download an application and the download stops.

Solution

Make sure you have Google Play Services installed. If the problem persists, go to the application list, and enter Google Play Services and disable the application. It will then ask if you want to restore the factory settings and you just have to confirm. If this does not solve the problem, you should contact Google support.

Google Play – Error 18

Problem

Error 18 has been around since late 2015 and happens when you want to reinstall an application that you already had in the past. There is no quick fix to this problem, but some tricks can help.

Solution

After going on several forums, it seems that some users were able to resolve error 18 by disconnecting and reconnecting the SD or microSD memory card. However, it does not appear that it's working for all users. If the problem persists, you can try to contact Google's online support. The final and drastic solution is a factory reset.

Google Play – Error 20

Problem

This problem occurs when installing or updating an Android app.

Solution

To resolve this error, you must have a rooted device, since you will need to access a file named 'smd2tmp1' found in / mnt / secure / asec /. If your phone is rooted, you can delete this folder, which should permanently resolve the problem.

If you don't want to root your device, there is another solution. Delete the file / data / data of the application that's causing you problems. Use file explorer to access the folder. To do this, I suggest you check out our best file managers for Android article.

Google Play - Error -24

Problem

Unknown.

Solution

You need a root manager to solve this one. If you have one, navigate to Data/data. In that folder, locate the package name of the app causing trouble (this can be found by looking at the URL of the app on the Play Store website). Delete the entire folder. Try reinstalling the app.

Google Play - Error 100

Problem

When you try to install or update an app from the Play Store, it sends an error message stating, "App can’t be installed due to an Error 100 – No Connection."

Solution

  1. First, navigate to Settings > Date and Time. Check if the date and time are correct. If not, then turn off the Automatic Date and Time feature and set the correct date and time. Also, check if you have set the correct Time Zone too. If not, switch to Manual Mode and look for the time zone of your region. Restart your device. If this doesn't work, proceed to the next step.
  2. Head to Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store > Storage & cache > Clear cacheIf the problem persists, try downloading the app from the Play Store website.
  3. Delete your Google Play Store data in Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store > Storage & cache > Clear data. Delete data from Google Services Framework as well (note: this will assign a new Google ID to your device, as if you had factory reset it, meaning your Google apps may temporarily act up afterward).
  4. Delete your Google account on the device, reboot your phone and re-add your Google account in Settings > Accounts > Add Account > Google Account.

Google Play - Error 101

Problem

Can't download the app as there are too many currently installed.

Solution

Uninstall old and unused apps.

Google Play – Error 103

Problem

This is a mysterious problem, which occurs when Google Play thinks an application is compatible with a device, but it actually isn't. It can then cause the 103 error to occur and recur on all your other devices, including those that are compatible.

Solution

Generally, there isn't anything you need to do on your side, since this error will solve itself after a few hours. The cause of the problem? An application signature concern. If you have developer knowledge, you can try to resolve it by signing the application again with the JDK tool 1.6+ release. If the error persists for more than 48 hours, contact Google Support.

Google Play - Error 110

Problem

The application cannot be installed.

Solution

Head to Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Store> Storage & cache > Clear cacheIf the problem persists, try downloading the app from the Play Store website.

Google Play - Error 194

Problem

This error happens when you try to download games or apps from the Google Play Store.

Solution

One fix for this issue is to clear the cache data for Google Play Services and the Google Play Store.

  1. Open the Settings app on your phone.
  2. Tap on Apps or Apps & notifications.
  3. Select the All or See all apps option.
  4. Scroll down until you see Google Play Store.
  5. Tap Force stop.
  6. Choose Storage & cache.
  7. Finally, choose Clear storage and then OK.
  8. Repeat the steps with the Clear data option.

Now repeat the process above, but replace Google Play Store with Google Play Services at step four and then attempt your download again.

If that doesn't work, don't worry - the issue has now been resolved and a fix is being rolled out in the next version of the Play Store app. Just make sure you have the latest Google Play Store APK and you shouldn't experience this error again.

Google Play Error - 403

Problem

The download is impossible and the request is 'forbidden'. This usually happens when two Google accounts are used to buy applications on one device.

First solution

Go to the Google Play Store with the correct Google account. Uninstall the application in question. Try to get the app from Google Play again and tap the purchase button.

Second solution

Clear the proxy you have possibly set up, by going to Settings, then choose Wireless and Networks (or More networks/Network & internet/Connections) and then Mobile Network. Select APN, which stands for Access Point Name, and hit the Clear Proxy option. You can always reinstate the proxy afterward.

Third solution

Another solution would be to erase your entire search history, which you can do in the Play Store itself:

  1. Tap on your account profile.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Expand the General menu and tap on Account and device preferences.
  4. Scroll down the list and tap on Clear device search history.

Fourth solution

Try creating a new Google account and using it for the Play Store instead. Go to the Google Play Store, tap on your profile picture, expand the accounts list by tapping on the V arrow button, then select Add another account. Type your new account credentials then reinstall the app.

Google Play Error - 406

Problem

Apps cannot be downloaded. This particular error can occur if you've reset the Google account you used to register on your phone, if you've restored your device to its factory settings, or if you've registered a new account on your phone.

Solution

A classic clearing of the cache will hopefully do the trick. Go to Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Store> Storage & cache > Clear cache.

Otherwise, try again on a different network connection.

Google Play - Error 413

Problem

Downloading applications or updates is impossible. If you use a proxy, remember that it may cause problems with the operation of the Google Play Store.

Solution

Under Settings, find Apps, choose to See all appsscroll down to Google Play Services. Here, tap on Force stop, select Storage & cache, then tap on Clear data and confirm the procedure. Do the same on the Google Play Store app.

Note: If the problem is not solved, try deleting the Dalvik cache. To do this, enter the custom recovery mode (only if you have root). Another solution is to complete a data wipe/factory reset. This option applies to all users and can be done in recovery mode. Beware, it will wipe your data so make sure you have backed up everything you wish to keep.

Google Play - Error 495

Problem

Problem downloading or updating apps from Play Store.

Solution

Delete your Google Play Store data in Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Services > Force stopStorage & cache > Clear data. Delete data from Google Play Services as well (note: this will assign a new Google ID to your device, as if you had factory reset it, meaning your Google apps may temporarily act up afterward).

Delete your Google account on the device, reboot your phone and re-add your Google account in Settings > Accounts > Add Account > Google Account.

Google Play Store - Error 497

Problem

Difficulty updating installed apps

First solution

Clear out your Play Store data. Go to Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Services > Force stopStorage & cache > Clear cache, and then Clear data.

Second solution

Disable your SD card, if you have one. Go to Settings > Storage > Unmount SD card.

Third solution

If your phone is rooted, you can delete the app's APK and reinstall it. To do so, open up Root Explorer, or a similar application, and navigate to System / app > Mount R / W > Delete application. Or you can play it safe and rename the offending APK to do something like [application_name].apk.backup, so you can revert it if anything goes wrong.

Google Play - Error 498

Problem

Interruption of downloads from the Google Play Store.

Solution

The problem is that the cache of your device is full. Delete unneeded applications and files. Restart your smartphone in recovery mode by pressing the volume down, power, and home buttons (for Samsung devices), or volume down and power (for most other devices).

This mode provides a few more options. Select Wipe cache partition by navigating between options with the volume rocker. Confirm using the power button.

Google Play – Error 501

Problem

If you can't open the Google Play Store or perform downloads, then surely you have the 501 error.

Solution

To fix it, you must go to Settings > Applications > All, then open these two applications: Google Play Services and Google Play Store – then you have to tap on Storage & cache and then Clear cache. Once you have done this, go into Accounts and delete your Google Account. Then restart your phone, input and synchronize your Google account again, then let your phone sit for five minutes without touching it. After these five minutes are over, the 501 error should not bother you anymore.

Google Play - Error 504

First solution

The usual, please: go to Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Store > Force stopStorage & cache > Clear cache and Clear data. Also Clear cache and Clear data for Google Play Services.

Solution

  • Remove unnecessary files and apps from the device.

This problem mainly occurs on the HTC One M8 and M9. This often occurs when downloading or updating an app. Errors 907 and 963 are similar and resolved in the same way.

Return to the Play Store and try to install the app. If the problem persists, you probably have your app on an external card to transfer it to the internal memory. Then you can send it to the SD card once the application is installed.

Most common error of play store is downloading issue even having good internet but it just pending download you can solve it by using this method.
Go to apps and find play services and clear its data or cache
then go to apps and find play store from settings and do same as above.
now restart your phone and now find the app from the play store and now download the app.

    ERROR 190
rror 190 certainly related to storage permission.(i think)

1.a. For newer androids version check that in settings, grant it if not.

1.b. For older rooted versions """move play store and play services to system apps"""

    After following 1.a or/and 1.b

    2. Clear cache and data of

    Play store
    Play services
    Services framework
    Download manager
    Package installer

    3. Remove your google account from settings

    4. Reboot

    5. Add account again( also try syncing)

    6. Check play store and play services are latest version/updated.

    7. If not, update them by downloading respective apks.
("MMUUSSTT" be compatible with your device...i.e. Correct dpi or ppi/chip architecture etc to know more about this try to find FAQ on respective website)

    8. Again follow steps after every change you make...2, 3, 4

All but my error code is included here, ERROR 100 and it's annoying. Not sure what is causing it or what to do to get it stopped. If anyone knows please share! I've already cleared the Play Store cache and deleted data, now what? Please don't say factory reset... I don't have time for that right now.

Followed the steps for a 504 error and now I'm getting the RH-01 error. Followed those steps and it still didn't work. I even rebooted the phone and switched between WiFi and Mobile Data networks but I still get the RH-01 I swear Google is becoming more like Microsoft everyday. Once I finally got past the RH-01 error the 504 still persists with the same Google Inc application refusing to install. These steps didn't fix anything. Looks like I'm just going to have to factory reset my phone :(

I found another solution which may be unique to my situation but may help others as well. The whole issue started when the Google Quick Search Bar stopped working. I would tap the widget and it would load an overlay image of my homescreen but wouldn't let me search by typing or talking. I often use it to set reminders for myself. So I tried fixing the app with the obvious options of clearing cache, data, and force closing the app. That didn't work so I rebooted the phone. Still no go. So I chose to uninstall updates. This led to the phone acting like the app wasn't installed at all. The widget disappeared and couldn't be re-added and under Google Play Store it showed "Install" instead of "Open" for the Google app.

Solution: What I finally figured out was that elements of the app were still installed which leads me to believe this was more like a 505 duplicate permissions error even though it showed error 504. Anyway, I used Root Explorer to search the /data/ directory for any instances of "quicksearchbar" I then deleted all the items that came up in the search. After that the Google app installed just fine and I have the search bar widget back again! :)

My problem is not listed there.
I am not getting either error code: simply after the last update og Google Play (an automatic process, I cannot control this) download phase of each update of my apps is going as usual.
But after the download Google Play "goes to a forest for mushrooms", - it can took up to 10-15 minutes it begins to install update dowloaded.
As I checked, download is really complete - this is not something like 100% forewer-waiting like on Windows.
But the it is searching (?) for a something or waiting some approval for check-sum or response from either process.

    What can be an error?

The device is LG G5 with Android 7.0, last update possible.

Hopefully the author sees this and adds it to the list, since this is the top google result. There is also a -504, which this article actually seems to be addressing instead of the actual 504. Google guy i contacted yesterday basically took those steps, but admitted they have yet to actually work for him. I didn't tell him at the time, but i have a rooted tablet, and what i saw is that sometimes when an app installs and/or uninstalls, some junk files get left in a directory blocked off to regular users, making it impossible to manually delete without root. However, leaving those files there will make the installers choke, since they don't default to overwriting a file/folder that already exists. I found it, since it was a bunch of square-enix apps as well as pokemon go, so i knew that there should not have been a single pokemon related file on my device, so, in termux, i used *du / | grep "pokemon" > pokesearch.log* after gaining root access, and i got a few results, but they were all contained in the final result, which was "1220 /mnt/expand/07aa2c40-4a8f-428c-afb9-7495df69eb26/user/0/com.nianticlabs.pokemongo" where i could just use *rm -R /mnt/expand/07aa2c40-4a8f-428c-afb9-7495df69eb26/user/0/com.nianticlabs.pokemongo* to delete it, after which installing the app would work again. I replied to the email the google tech sent me with this information, and i assume he forwarded it to the devs. Until then, rooted users should be able to enjoy the solution.

Welcome to Google Play. I have had this issue for many times. It gives the error (without reason) and tells to try it again. But it does not change. I talked to Google many times and i even spend 3 hours on the phone trying whatever they told me to do. After 2 weeks of trying again (just as Google tells me to do) they blocked my account because of possible Fraud. Send them all the info and they told me they could not unblock and also not tell me why not. I told them this is not the way you treat your clients and i openend a new account. Here I had the same error, but after 4 times try again it worked (1 time) To me it is just a technical problem with Google. After trying a lot of times to buy something I got blocked again and again after sending the requested info Google would not unblock me. I love it when they have security, but like this it does not really work how it should work. I buy my in app packages now with Apple. It works like a charm.

Hi. There is a new app that i discovered and i like it. When i installed it on my Android, it went through without a problem. When i tried to install that same app on another device, i keep getting error code "103", which basically rejects the installation of the app. On the problem device, i tried clearing play store's data and cache. When i went back, same error.

I did try to research the error code. Problem was, it was all developer talk. "I tried the SVK" (or whatever its called) " and downgraded from whatever i released on to an eariler version", which does not help one bit.

Great article, really useful. I will save the article just in case for future reference . But personally I used to have huge problems with login in to the Play Store. I would type in the correct password (which worked on the pc) and it just would allow me to browse the store, instead the login window would keep poping up.

I've got the same error 963 just like other users. Reading some of the comments here, it seems the issue is not yet fix. :( I encountered the error on my mobile phone that has external memory and not on my other phone that has internal memory.

Error 963 is an error specific to Samsung mobile devices that is caused by the SD card allowing memory communications which the Google Play Store does not recognize. The simple fix is you must unmount your SD card through the device Settings>Storage menu and then clear data for the Google Play Store under Settings>Apps. This should fix the download problem and once you are finished you may re-mount your SD card.

It's not just Samsungs. I've been through XDA and it affects EVERY Android with at least Lollipop and an mSD card slot - HTC, whitebox phones, Xperia. It's like Google doesn't want us to use a phone with an SD card!

If any one knows why this 693 error code is showing up, and got a solution to the problem let me know.

I had to move apps on the SD card back to the device storage to update on both Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Tab S. Nothing has change on either of my devices. Errors 963 and 907 started just this week. Tried clearing cache and uninstalling Google Play Services updates and Google Play Store updates but nothing helped. Had to move the apps.

I have been searching the web for three weeks trying to get an answer for this problem. However, this morning I fixed my current 963 errors on Galaxy S4 by:
        1) moved 1 app that failed the update process from sd card to device
        2) update that app thru Google app store on the device
        3) clear cache and clean data for that app
        4) move the app back to the sd card
        5) rinse and repeat

Solved my current update issues - FINALLY!!!

        Good luck -

Roy, why did you clear the app data and cache of that app after you updated it. My 963 error started happening a few days or so and the only ones that have a problem updating are the ones on my sd card. I moved them to device storage then updated and then moved back to sd card and it works. So again, why clear app data/cache after updating and how do you know that clearing app/data/cache fixed the issue for those apps for future updates so we don't have to manually move back and forth? Thanks.. Keith G

Move any apps that will "Allow" you to move it to the SD Card. That should free some space on your phone. This works for me and I'm only 13 with an S5 (Samsung Galaxy S5).

Apps require more storage to download and install than the space they list on the apps' description. You should have at least double. Also, only having 377 mb of space means your phone will likely run a bit slower than if you had a gig of free space. Hope that helps.

Google play store is a most complicated app in play store. It is very difficult to solve the problems related. None of these and other solutions sometime will not work. That is because no one knows the exact reason for the issue. It is better to enable two step verification in Google sign in.avoid frequently changing password. Think twice before installing any app.leave plenty of free space.avoid using more accounts in a single device. Always remember to clear cache in settings storage. Try to use over WiFi or a good data connection. Get updated always with apps and device. Take extreme care when disabling ,force stopping, killing, uninstalling pre installed system apps. Avoid installing apps from other than google play store.

“””” A Fix For Not Being Able To Download Or Install Apps From The Google Play Store
For People Who Have Tried EVERYTHING And It Still Doesn’t Work !!!!!!”””””””””

To keep a long story short, I had decided to start using an older Android phone of\my wife’s. So I decided to factory reset it so I could start fresh on it. Well after it restarted it immediately began to bitch about not being able to connect to server. Then when I opened the play store everything I tried to download was Error retrieving information from server. I tried everything I could think of but nothing worked. Then hitting the forums and trying everything listed in them at least 10 times. So I was about to just give up then my little voice said try this one last thing and to my surprise it WORKED. Everything was working, updating and downloading. Here are the step to what I did.
    1. Remove all accounts and yes this means do a factory reset
    2. Restart the device
    3. After start up DO NOT and I mean DO NOT create, link or sign in using your google account info. Hit skip this step and let the device fully start up.
    4. After is has started and you have a data connection open the Play Store
    5. At this time NOW sign in with your google account info.
    6. Just sit back and enjoy watching the updates come zooming in.
I don’t know why this worked or how but it worked. I am posting this so that others who are as frustrated as I was, might have a chance at PEACE. May this post save others and lead to calm.

error code 18 is only appear when the app that you download from G play cannot be installed to phone or card ,usually when you try to update a game or app.

Resetting the phone to factory setting will not work or cleaning the google play cache or data will not work so the only solutions is to uninstall the said app first than clean the ram and phone/card if not sufficient after that unmount the memory card than install the app to phone memory after that mount the memory card back

      hope this will help

I went through the same error, and the only solution that worked was:
Uninstall and reinstall the Google Play Service.

However, because he is a native program, only it is possible to uninstall the updates!

After uninstalling the updates, the unit starts to present several errors! This is normal!

Errors stop appearing so you again updated Google Play Service.

To complete the service, however only as an option, I installed a defragmenter.

If I installed CDA Cache Defraguer. However not know was really useful to be informed, but has no advertisements and runs fast, and is easy to understand.

Eu passei pelo mesmo erro, e a única solução que funcionou foi:
Desinstalar e reinstalar o Google Play Service.

No caso instalei o CDA Cache Defraguer. Porem não sei informar ser foi util realmente, mas não tem publicidades e executa rápido, além de ser fácil de entender.

RESOLVED: After suffering myself with Play Store issues for 2 months I have come to the conclusion that there is no issue with the phone or play store and the issue is with Push Notifications. When PN is not working the Play Store will hang halfway downloading or updating apps. Even outgoing messages will not be through. Simply confirm that the PN is working by downloading PNF, Push Notification Status & Push Notification Tester. Never turn off Hangouts and google messenger although you may not be using it. Whenever Push Notification is Ok Play Store ok. Facebook, Whatsapp & Viber have their own system for PN but all other apps use Google Cloud Messaging (GCM).

Hello Randy, sorry to hear the trouble you are having, error 400+ 403, please give these solutions a try,
1> Turning on and off Internet connection.
    2> Restarting device.
3> Clearing browsing history, i.e; Browsing history, cookies, cache / or returning chrome to it's factory settings.
4> Downloading new browser ( Firefox, Opera), give both a try if first one unsuccessful.
5> Updating to latest software again> unistall and reinstall update.
These should work, but if not please post here again and there is an alternative route ,but it's to do with your proxy.

Tried resetting the device to factory settings, cleared cache for PlayStore and Google Framework etc., Createt dummy Google account and unlinked the first account just to test but still no good. I tried reinstalling the google Playstore and still didn't work. So hopeless for this Android device. I hope you could help. I've got screenshots for the errors if you need it. The only way to get round this is to factory reset your device, let your device reboot and take it from there. Unfortunately you will lose all of your data, however if you backup your apps to sd card or cloud, this will be helpful in the time saved looking around the playstore later. PS, if you have rooted your device this will let you backup data aswell.

Error 505 is a error predominant to lollipop 5.0.1, when the app is trying to re-declare an existing permission.
As of 4/12/2014, Google has fixed this issue on lollipop 5.0.1.
It has affected Adobe / certificate and contradictory certificates related to these apps.
A resolution is to re-flash the lollipop image after the 5.0.1 OTA update.

I am using a GT-S7275R Samsung Galaxy Ace. It is a small phone but I believe it's compatible for FIFA 15 as shown in play store... It managed to run for a night and accumulated 180+MB only because I have limited wifi here... (the broadband limit has finished) The wifi was always turned off in the morning so I wanted to continue the installation some time later, but when I turned on wifi and entered play store it always shows an error (923,403 etc.) the app is 1.24GB and I believe as long as the wifi limit is not renewed the process will run for about 4 days... I did this for two days already. the error that happened an hour ago shows error 403, and 923 the last time. I cleared cache every once in a while but I think this is not the solution for 5 days.... Is there a way to prevent errors from occurring beforehand in a slow download like this? Or should I just forgo my plan for an app of 1GB+ with slow wifi?

    • 8
DEATHPROOFBUM May 16, 2015 Link to comment

923> Runtime error, whole process , downloading, cache and installation.
403> Forbidden, this doesn't mean you have done something wrong! It just means server's prompted to deny request what's sent.
First off check Internet connection speed with a free app from Google playstore, a slow connection could be your problem. Other routes you can go down are>
      1;Try clearing your cache again.
2; Uninstall and reinstall Google playstore, there are to websites related to this where you can get the latest Android platform to download again. Android police and APK mirror. Before you do this make sure you have allowed in settings for sources outside off playstore.
3; Create new account, do you have two accounts? This may create some confusion with your account via the servers.Whether you have two or not you can try this, but this personally would be my last course of action as you will lose apps and settings. You can back apps up to sd card but unless your device is rooted you will lose settings.
Post here again if you are unsuccessful, but one of these methods should resolve your problem, good luck!

Have you downloaded apps from outside of the playstore like Aptoide maybe? Or a torrent website? I know these can cause problems, also check you don't have two of the same app installed as it does happen somehow, as this has happened to myself on a few occasions but I do not think this is the cause but worth checking, and I don't mean an installed app and a extra icon. The same signature ID is a developer's own stamp which also tells them if it's a paid version or not and also paid for if you have two from different sources these may also conflict which may lead to the trouble your having now? But on the info given it's the best I can give you.

This is the reason why a lot of people root, you can't fix this on a phone with no root. There are a full list of permissions, and services, and receivers, that you can't get to, without root. 3c toolbox pro, can display everything that a lesser app can't. There are a bunch of things, that, most apps can't display. Reinstalling your rom, won't do you any good, clearing cache, and data, won't turn those (hidden)permissions, receivers, services back on, the problem persist. Messing around in a terminal, runs the risk of mistakes, or incompatibilities( all just because it worked for his phone, doesn't mean it'll work for yours). Blank screen problems, means that a component, isn't on. "Unfortunately Google Play services has stopped unexpectedly" , means a service, can't connect to the playstore. If you can, open these apps permissions up, I bet you find something unchecked. Be wary about deleting your account too, that might be interconnected to your problem, and you might not get it back. APK mirror, DevHost files, are good places to go for files you need, and are safe to install too.

I'm gonna keep on sayin this, til peeps listen, It's permissions, services, and recievers, that playstore, gsf(google services framework), google play services, that somehow aren't enabled. Sometimes, when updating, using apps that mess with permissions, user errors on permissons( and related services, that turn off recievers). Did anyone clear data, cache, and reinstall, these apps? Reinstall your rom, but still have the same problems? Something's unchecked, and you have to find out what it is, when all else fails.

1: Its says ''Cant establish a reliable connection to the server''
2: This could b a temporary problem or your Adnroid device may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues call customer care.

You can reinstall your rom, remove, and add your account again, clear data, and cache, til your blue in the face. More than likely, there's a service, or permission, that's not checked. Reinstalling the playstore, won't have an effect, most of the time, the unchecked persist. check your services, permissions, and recievers, I bet somethings unchecked. Some apps can change permissions, in order to work, and may take something else out. Check these things in all play related apps, including google services framework.

I was trying to install the CM11 Theme-Darker Green-Free app on my Nexus 5 with the Carbon rom flashed. After flashing the new 4.4.3 version of Carbon (which did not give me any problems), I had flashed the android 4.4.3 gapps which uninstalled the theme. When I tried to reinstall it from the play store I was given that error message. Even flashing back to a 4.4.2 version of the rom does not allow me to install the app. I tried restoring a fairly recent nandroid backup with clockwork mod, but it failed due to a md5 mismatch. I tried various fixes but still couldn't restore even when flashing back to the same version of android (which I figured was the reason for the mismatch). Thus, I would like to fix this without having to resort to factory resetting the device if that would be possible. Thank you!

After carefully trying all of the possible solutions in the other article about how one could try fixing play store errors, I came here since none of them worked for me to find that my error code wasn't here. I receive the message: Unknown error code during application install: -"400" and I couldnt find anything about it through a google search so I appreciate any help anyone could give :)

Useful Article! But isn't it Volume UP, Home and Power to access recovery on Samsung devices?

It really depends on the physical aspect of the phone - number of buttons wise. Ex. my Samsung/Google Galaxy Nexus only has volume up/down and power. The home, back, and recent apps buttons are with the touch screen portion.
