Of course it's not exactly revolutionary news the the HTC Sensation XL or XE would be getting an Android 4.0 update, but at least we know HTC has their nose to the grindstone.

According to HTC's blog post, the following HTC phone will be updated to Android 4.0:

  • DROID Incredible 2 by HTC
  • HTC Amaze 4G
  • HTC Desire S

  • HTC Sensation
  • HTC Sensation XL
  • HTC Sensation 4G
  • HTC Sensation XE
  • HTC Raider
  • HTC Rezound
  • HTC Rhyme
  • HTC Thunderbolt

According to HTC, both the Sensation and the HTC Sensation XE are already in the process of being updated to Android 4.0 and ICS for the Sensation XL is almost production ready.

  • & the quality of 4G lte service depends on where you live (Las Vegas is a Resort Town that is wired for the future, but I can't say the same thing if you live outside the Metro area - out in the Mojave Desert) ...

  • if you are a Verizon Wireless user (like I am), then you're aware of what Android Smart Phones are getting an ICS software update (check & see that 99% of them are 4G lte Smart Phones) ... also, most of the new deals being offered are geared towards 4G lte Data Plans (its like comparing DSL to a Cable Modem, one is faster & more reliable) ...

  • Really? Whys that do you think? To be honest I don't know if I want to make the switch myself as I'm fine with 3G speeds and I've heard mixed things about battery life with 4G phones...

  • & I'm still stuck with an outdated (but still works great) HTC INCREDIBLE ....

every single day I get the impression that Cellular Service Providers want you to leave 3G for 4G (or you're not getting an Ice Cream Sandwich software update) ...
