Samsung announces ultra-slim, all-metal Galaxy A7: release date, specs and price here

Samsung has announced the latest in its Galaxy A series, the Galaxy A7. Following the recently released Galaxy A5 and A3, this new device packs an octa-core processor, 2 GB of RAM and a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED HD display. Find all about the new Galaxy A7 below.

Galaxy A7 release date

The precise Galaxy A7 release date is still unknown, but it will be available by the end of Q1 2015. Though it will be arriving with Android 4.4 KitKat, it's expected to be updated to Android 5.0 soon after release. 

Galaxy A7 specs

With an extremely thin 6.3 mm metallic unibody, the A7 also comes with 13 MP rear camera (with autofocus and LED flash), 5 MP front camera, 2,600 mAh battery, and micro-SD card slot. There will be single and dual-SIM variants, with the single version including a 32-bit Exynos 5430 chipset, and the dual-SIM option packing a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor.
