Xiaomi Redmi 4 price and release date
The Redmi 4 might be announced on November 4. The pricing rumors so far suggest it will cost around 699 Yuan, or about $105. This is about the same price as last year's Redmi 3 and we have no reason to doubt that Xiaomi will release the new model at the same budget price point.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 design and specs
We recently saw a post on Gizmochina revealing some leaked images of a Redmi 4 prototype. They show a solid-looking unit with a metal unibody and finely machined rear edges. The front of the phone has a glossy glass finish and a decent display, most probably using an IPS LCD panel. Take a look at the images below:
There is also a pair of speaker grilles on the bottom edge, although no evidence just yet whether it will have stereo sound, plus what looks like a micro-USB in between. If this device does not end up incorporating a USB Type-C port, it wouldn't come as a surprise considering this is a budget offering from Xiaomi. You can view it right here and let us know if you agree:
Regarding Xiaomi Redmi 4 specs and performance, some data pulled from Geekbench 3 has appeared online and gives us a hint at what this device will be capable of. If this is accurate, the Redmi 4 would have a Snapdragon 625 chipset plus 3 GB of RAM all running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The benchmark sheet below shows all the details. We'll update you as more information appears.
