The Galaxy S2 is the successor of the Galaxy S and was introduced in February 2011. The S series is currently Samsung's premium series and the S2 was, at the time of its launch, one of the top Android smartphones. The display of 4.3 inches was larger than the Galaxy S, but the resolution remained the same. The S2 comes with an 8 MP camera with an LED flash and a front camera. The S2 was shipped with Android 2.3, but as of March 2013, the S2 received an update to Android 4.1.2. Within one year, about 25 million units were sold and it is still one of the most popular Samsung smartphones.
