Android 4.4.2 for T-Mobile LG G2 rolls out OTA today

The newest version of KitKat is finally making its rounds to more Android devices and next in line is the T-Mobile LG G2. The update is now available OTA and will be pushed to your phone between March 6th and 25th. You could have already gotten the update by going through the PC Utility app.

To check if the update is available for you is easy as heck: go to Settings > General > About Phone > Update Center > System Updates > Check now. If it is indeed available, ensure that your phone is charged to at least 50%, that you have a stable data connection, preferably WiFi, and that you have 147 MB of internal storage readily available for the new firmware.

The update should do a few new things for your LG G2, like bring auto brightness and improve the overall user experience. Apparently KnockOn will be updated, battery life should be stepped up a notch and your apps should run a bit faster. There was no detailed changelog for this update like we’ve seen with other providers, so it’s hard to pinpoint more specific features that will be added or updated. We'll report back soon though.

Did you get the update yet? Let us know what improvements you have noticed!
