Have had problems with battery drain ever since owning the S3. Would charge it overnight and 3 hours later the battery would often be around 40 % after no use. Problem was intermittent but aggravating as hell. Took out the micro sd card and all seems well ever since doing so. Anyone having these battery drain issues should give this a try and let me know if this helps. I've tried everything in the proverbial book but nothing was a long time fix. I do believe the battery drain problem is somehow related to the micro SD card. l
Well, I think the problem is in the memory card I think you have installed an application in the memory card that is consuming the battery most and removing the SD card means the application gets out from your device and the battery consumption gets lowered. 
Why don't you try installing some battery saver application for even more saving of the battery.
