Hi,

I made a backup to the Samsung Cloud with my Samsung S9+ (SM-G965F), before I did a hard reset.

If I log in to my Samsung Cloud account these thigs are shown (amongst others), translated from German:

Other synchronized data: size in KB

Backups (or better translation is "Syncs"?):
Device Backups: size in GB

My Knox and Secure Folder: size in MB

  • Is it possible to directly download these things I have backed up to the Samsung Cloud or do I have to use my smartphone and load them?

-Are the data within the Samsung Cloud encrypted and if yes, how, how secure?

-Are the data during transmission via Web browser or to the smartphone encrypted securely and if yes, how (algorithm, end-to-end, ...?)

  • I asssume , that the My Knox and Secure Folder category that is kept ind the cloud is as secure/encrypted as it was on my phone, right?

-Can I delete the data in the samsung cloud and only keep the data locally on my samsung phone? I ask because e.g. in Apple icloud this is not possible. I you delete one side (only phone!?) the other side is deleted, too.

Thank you very much!
