do i have to pay google for google maps auto compiler?

My doubt is only one: if I wanted to use google search suggestions (like those on google maps), do I have to pay, or is there a way is to implement it in java for free? thank you

Do you mean that you need to use the Places SDK for Android in your app?

If yes, check the official documents as below.

exactly, but you see it says at the top of the page: Before you begin: Before you start using the Places SDK for Android, you need a project with a billing account and the Places API enabled. To learn more, see Get Started with Google Maps Platform.
