I've been trying to join whatsapp channels but have a problem. when I join a channel can someone explain to me why the channel does appear in whatsapp web but doesn't appear in whatsapp desktop and doesn't appear on my phone.

Channels can be found in a new tab called Updates on WhatsApp – where you’ll find Status and channels you choose to follow – separate from your chats with family, friends, and communities.
