LG Optimus One and Optimus Chic Announced With Android 2.2

Today, LG announced the launch of their Android 2.2 powered Optimus One and Optimus Chic at a press conference. The phone seem to marketed for world-wide sales, and feature LG's custom UI, as well as full Google Mobile Services and Wi-Fi hotspot functionality.

Specs on the Optimus One (pictured right) include a 3.2" HVGA screen, 600MHz processor, 1500mAh battery and a 3MP camera.

The Optimus Chic (pictured left) also has a 3.2" HVGA screen, 600MHz processor, but differs with a 5MP camera and a 1250mAh battery. The phone also includes capacitative buttons beneath the screen.

Expect the LG Optimus One to be available in most of Europe in October, with other countries later. The Optimus Chic will also release in Europe first, coming in November, and other markets soon afterwards.

The Optimus One seems to me to be the bigger, but cheaper version. No word on which carriers will have the devices, or what the prices of the devices will be. Head on over to EuroDroid to take a look at the full press release from LG.
