The Samsung Galaxy Note was unveiled at the 2011 IFA in Berlin. With a screen size of 5.3 inches, it’s more of a phablet than a smartphone. A special feature that sets the Note apart is its innovative operation which uses the intelligent stylus, S Pen. This allows new types of interactions, such as handwriting recognition. The first generation Note arrived with the Android 2.3 operating system, but an update from Samsung has upgraded it to Android 4.1.2. The phablet has been available since October 2011.
