With the Galaxy S4, Samsung has put an entire family of devices on the market: the S4 Active is the outdoor version of the Samsung flagship family. It is characterized by its water-resistant, dust-resistant housing and has an AMOLED display instead of an LCD screen, which is easier to read in direct sunlight. The S4 Active has a physical camera button and the camera takes pictures with a resolution of 8 MP instead of the 13 MP of the S4. The battery cover is also removable, but it is slightly thicker and heavier than the S4. Below the display there are three physical hardware buttons that do not appear on the S4.
