How i can add new photos to the gallery?

I can not add photos from an USB stick to the gallery of my tablet.
My tablet is a Point of view Mobii running android 2.2
Could anybody help me?

I thought tablets are not able to read USB devices directly...? Guess you have to connect your tablet to your computer via USB and copy the pictures.
