I would like to connect my SGS2 to my Samsung DNLA equipped TV. You can apparently do this in 3 ways:
  1. Get a mirco USB to HDMI lead and connect. But I don't have access to a store that sells either of these.
  2. Access DNLA via the Samsung "allshare" function. Doesn't work. Comes up as "error, cannot play."
  3. Do it via the TV then by selecting the phone in the TV menu, go to pictures...and it shows pictures no problem but says no videos to play.

Does anyone know what might be going on?

If you want to play videos using Allshare on the Samsung Galaxy S2 using DNLA you need to make sure the videos are in the correct format. The Galaxy S2 can play just about anything but if I'm not mistaken you need to either have the videos in .3pg of .mp4 with the h.264 codex to play videos on DNLA equiped tvs. I'd double check the format as thats probably where you'll be having the issue.
