Chinese G9300 boot menu in Chinese; does it change if phone is rooted?

Hi Im just wondering if I root the phone will the Boot menu eg the Vol down+Power button menu be changed to English, in other words if the phone is rooted, does the boot stub change?

well it depends on the rom really

we dont have the device here so its hard to test. The boot menu wont change in a custom rom, so you would need to flash that separately.
