I want to root my device but my odin does not shows my device connected to it even after putting my phone into downloading mode . plz help

Sometimes you have to switch up when you connect your device to your computer and start Odin. For example, if you're connecting your phone and then starting Odin, try starting Odin and then connecting your phone, or the other way around. Order is important. I don't currently have a Samsung phone, or I would test it and could be more specific.

That's right, you'll have to be in download mode to run Odin to the phone.
