On the latest WhatsApp version 2.11.186 there is a camera shortcut which as the name suggests lets you click on it and will open up it's own camera to allow you to take a pic and it will open up WhatsApp automatically, and all you'd need to do then is press send.
However although WhatsApp themselves mention this on Google Play Store it's not all too easy to find in the Android, so here is how to find it and like me move it to your home-screen for fast access.
If you go to your widget section and scroll through it's pages till you see WhatsApp Camera, then just hold on it then while keeping it held swipe until you see your home screen then let go, you need to make sure you have a spare gap on your home-screen to do this.
Been tested and works fine.
