Soundboards, are they worth the effort?

There are hundreds of similar apps so it might seem pointless, but again it's a good exercise if nothing else. Soundboards don't appeal to me but that doesn't mean nobody would like it, if you focus on making it better than most others (better ui, more/better quality sounds, some random usp) then who knows what may happen. Flappy Bird is probably one of the most unoriginal, boring and repetitive games around and look how well that did.
