WhatsApp is continuously sending messages

Hello,
I'm running the latest WhatsApp beta from the Google Play Store (I subscribed the programme today) and I am experiencing a serious bug since last Saturday, even with the old betas. The counter of the sent messages is continuously increasing even if I don't send anything and in some groups some friends with iPhone told me that in the list of conversations the group looks like it is in continuous refresh, it blinks continuously. I am running WhatsApp on my OnePlus 2 equipped with Android 5.1.1, without any modification or root access. Every basic solution didn't worked (reboot, update, clear cache, reinstall...). Can you help me solving this problem? Thanks in advance, best regards

The problem seems solved for now, the counters are now stable and no one sees strange blinks in the chat menù. It seems that it ended as it started, without any updates or clean... It's now possible to close the thread, thanks to everyone for the help.
