All samsung data can be backed up via Samsung Kies so you can try it to back up galaxy s7. And it also supports to restore the backup files.

Kies was replaced by Smart Switch, which becomes the default app for data backup for all samsung phones.

If the Samsung is with broken screen and the debugging failed, how to protect the data firstly?

If you have enabled debugging before, you can drag the data from device to PC even though the screen is broken now.
Now, I got a new way to free backup Android data but I don't know whether we should pay for restoring.

You can also try free samsung manager, it backs up samsung contacts, messages, photos, call logs and more to pc and restore.
