Android phone slow down over a period why?

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Tablet 2 , i bought before 4 years, I have formatted the software for two times, and I'm using only 2 external apps, Battery still withstands but, the operating system is very slow.

Why is this happening?

you check the memory was full, as photos, music, movies ... because you installed 2 app that, the operating system is very slow.

Settings - General - Application manager - Running,
Check your 'Device memory' and 'RAM usage by applications'.
