Android Activity drastically lowers in performance than its twin Activity

Hi, am currently having a dilemma where I have two activities, a and b.
Activity a is fine, I can open activity and it works perfectly with no effect on performance.
When I open activity b, the performance is 'slammed' and the phone begins to lag dramatically.

Very simple code, so its weird to see such low performance from it.
