Got a brand new S8 Plus. Like a week ago. I'm getting horrible battery life. Down 50% after two hours with maybe actually using it an hour during those two hours. I've been to a few websites and did the tips. Still really bad. I mean I should be getting more than what I am. Right?

There can be a manufacturing issue. Do the tricks, follow the recommendations, restart the phone. If you don't succeed, you have the warranty, right?
And you always have some other options like a big capacity power bank or a removable, stackable battery power case. And you'll get extra memory too.
