Get the latest version of WhatsApp from Play Store or official website of WhatsApp, and install the new version.

Apk size only 0.07 MB. The pure & full-free app is available on Google Play - https://goo.gl/ws42fN

Try to uninstall the app and install it again with the help of google play store. It will definitely start working.

Now it's ok.(*) Problem is not with the Android version.

In a previous time I locked my Whatsapp app using smart applock.
Yesterday I could notice that error message was shown by that applock. Not Whatsapp app.

So I uninstalled that applock.
Now my Whatsapp opens & works properly.(*)

I hope these steps will help someone who has the same situation.
But I don't know why or how such thing may happen. :(

Thank You. :)
