Last 2 weeks my Whatsapp receives a msg from a friend and it keeps ringing until I read the message. Never did this before. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Uninstall the WhatsApp, then get the latest edition, V2.18.181, from Google Play or the official website of WhatsApp.
