The first real photo of the rumored Samsung Galaxy S7 may have just been leaked. Italian blog site HDBlog picked up the scoop from Vietnamese tech site reviewdao.vn, which seems to have a legitimate image of the upcoming flagship phone. The photo confirms much of what we suspected about the S7 design.
As you can see in the photo above, the volume buttons are in keeping with those seen on the Samsung Galaxy S6, while the rear camera sensor seems to be flatter than on the previous device – as suggested earlier by OnLeaks.
The device in the image also appears to closely follow the aesthetic seen in leaked press renders (seen below), adding further weight to the claim of its authenticity.
Speaking of weight, contrary to recent design trends, the Galaxy S7 also appears to be thicker than its predecessor. It's possible this is so it can house a larger battery.
Recent speculation suggests the Galaxy S7 will launch alongside the Galaxy S7 Edge in Barcelona on February 21, just ahead of MWC 2016. We'll be there to bring you all of the news. Until then, read about all the latest speculation at our dedicated Samsung Galaxy S7 page.
