Strange happening

I have a question if anyone can answer.
Here in the last couple of days I discovered that most of the folders on my micro sd card where empty, all the folders where there but all of the data, backups and docs were gone only pics where left. Only the folder by the next to last app I installed still had data.
Has anyone had something similar happen?

but your phone is working correctly, right? Give me some examples of empty folders you are talking about, and let me know if you've been into those folders before and know that files are missing.

Yes the phone works OK.
The folders were fine on the afternoon of the 17th and empty on 18th.
Some of the folders that were empty are: appmonster, aTrackDog, documents, HandWxConditionsIconCache, HandWxForecastIconCache, HandWxRadarImageCache, PDF's, podtrapper, PYKL3Radar and reware.
1-19-11-I just had two PDF's just vanish after I shut the phone off and turned it back on. The rest of the folders seem to be OK after this latest disappearance, so far.
1-31-11-I just had all of my backed-up apps vanish out of one folder but not another. All so had all the data of one program vanish off the card to.
Anyone got ideas? Please help.
