Apparently, Cricket was supposed to give the 2.2 update to users back in January, but still hasn't done so.

There are unofficial updates available, but I would recommend waiting for the official one to come out. Cricket is going to send you a text message when the update is available.

You can also give Cricket a call and see when they think the update will be made available.

I know this isn't too reassuring, but I hope this helped :)
