Picking A Tablet

Hi, I'm looking for an android tablet and would like to not pay a fortune for a decent one. I have a budget of $200 and was wondering what is out there, preferably something running android 4.0

If I were you, I would wait for the Nexus tablet to come out in a few months. Android ICS, dual or quad core processor, and supposedly 250 - 299 US dollars.

My short answer is the Toshiba Thrive. I just bought a second one for my wife!

Everybody has different requirements but I have to counter the Thrive recommendation. I have one that's been hated since I got it. I bought one for my son at the same time. He just smashed the screen on his this week.... intentionally. I'd smash mine but it seems a waste and my wife uses it occasionally. I envy my son for the satisfaction I'm sure he felt though.

I had 2 Toshiba Thrives. One for me and one for the wife. Mine broke after 3 month. I tried to exchange it for another Thrive but the Thrive was discontinued. Only the new Toshiba Excite was available. The Toshiba Excite had lackluster reviews so I decided to look for something other than Toshiba. I saw that Asus had just came out with the Asus Infinity TF700 at Best Buy. I bought the 32 gig tablet version and bought the optional keyboard with it. I liked it so much that I returned it and got the 64 gig version tablet. It has been; working for me fine for the last 3 months without any hiccups.

If it helps I have had a Nexus7 since they launched, okay before they were popular in the uk. It gets better every time I use it. Just installed HP printer app so can send docs straight to our wireless printer. Have a mifi device got from amazon for internet access when away from WiFi - uses 3gb data cards, and use viewranger to see actual location and speed when driving. Hope you bought something that is what you wanted too. Android 4.2.1 now btw
