Hello!
I'm writing an android app that needs an SQL database, plots charts. It also has a widget.
I'm in the middle of all of this and now consider to switch to Phonegap.
Odds:
- It will be easy to port it to iOS in the future
- Javascript has much neater plotting libraries (Google chart tools for example)
Cons:
- Need to start everything from scratch
- Concerned about productivity and whether writing in Javascript+HTML5+css is more difficult then on Android
- There probably no way I can do a widget.
Concerning last con. Can I have the whole app web-based and widget android based? Will it be a mess? (Anyway I won't be able to have a widget on iOS)
Could please suggest whether I should switch to Phonegap in this situation and why do you think so.
