I suspect this isn't supported in Android but is it possible to add a USB device and integrate it into the OS so that device is used for data communications in place of the mobile data network supported natively by the device?
For example, the user is in a remote destination and wants to plug in a device so that perhaps a satellite connection or non-standard wireless network is used to provide a data connection much like 3G so that the OS and its apps can run. I can't see any suitable API's or SDK's for doing this, is there a recommended way to do this?
