Samsung Galaxy S3 — Screen powering off during the making of a call

During a phone-call, the screen is powering off (when I put the phone on my ear to be more precise), that's normal, but the problem is that after the phone call (when I take away the phone from my ear), it doesn't power on, this means, I cannot stop the phone-call, and I must wait for my contact to stop it.

which version of Android you are using in your device if its Android 4.3 than i would say several users are encounter same problem at first but as soon as sammy rolled out the another fix it disappear, i think the problem is arising because of the update !! Do you try updating again as i guess samsung has already rolled out the update.
