Same problem and fix here. "Network mode" choices offered to me are:
- LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connect)
- WCDMA/GSM (auto connect)
- WCDMA only
- GSM only
Obviously, LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connect) is the desired option, but it makes me drop network after a few hours. The only way to get the network back is to reboot the phone. WCDMA/GSM (auto connect) works fine without any issue so far. It does give me up to H+ which I perceive as fairly fast, so I will live with not having 4G until a fix is around - would still be appreciated. Remarkable that this issues seems thus to be attributed to the Android OS.
I have the phone for about 1 week now. Bought the phone for my wife, she is never going to notice not having 4G and she is very happy with it for all other use cases.
Living in Belgium, connecting to Telenet as mobile operator.
